Orders & Preorders
How long are preorders open?
Our monthly preorders are typically open from the 1st until the last day of the month, unless they sell out early. Event Exclusive preorder windows may vary, so please refer to the individual product listing for specific dates.
Can I order more than one box or Event Exclusive?
Unless otherwise stated, our boxes and Event Exclusives are limited to one per household during the preorder window.
Can I purchase individual books from a box?
Boxes are initially sold as complete collections. If inventory remains, individual books may become available for purchase at our discretion.
Are your books signed?
Yes! Our monthly featured editions are hand signed whenever possible. In some cases, a signed bookplate may be provided instead. Event Exclusive editions will only be signed if clearly stated on the product listing.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be cancelled within 3 days of purchase. After that time, all sales are considered final.
Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We currently ship throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
When will my order ship?
All of our books are produced on a preorder basis. Most orders ship approximately 75–90 days after the preorder closes unless otherwise stated on the product listing.
Will I receive tracking?
Absolutely. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email.
Do I need to pay duties or customs fees?
International customers may be responsible for any duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by their country. These charges are not collected by The Midnight Bookshelf.

Returns & Damages
What if my book arrives damaged?
Please email clear photos of the damage within 3 days of delivery so our team can assess the issue and assist with a replacement if required.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
Due to the limited nature of our products, we do not offer returns or refunds unless otherwise required by law.
Do you offer exchanges?
Exchanges are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are only available for qualifying damaged items.
